Effective October 2, 2011, the Maryland Unemployment Insurance Law will provide for an additional thirteen weeks of unemployment insurance benefits, known as the Extended Benefits (EB) program.  What does this mean for me?  It means that I stand to garner $3250 total in unemployment insurance benefits.  Ain't God good?

I pretty much spent the weekend with Rick just like we planned.  I even stayed over his house.  And much to my surprise, his place wasn't exactly what I expected.  For starters, he has a one-bedroom apartment at Kensington Gate and it's pretty worn down--The carpet is stained in several places, the kitchen and bathroom looks tattered, and I won't even neglect to mention the bed bug infestation manifesting in that apartment.  However with all that being said, I enjoyed my time over his place.  I'm looking forward to many more stay-overs to come, that is after his mother moves out of the living room.  Yes I said it.  His mother is residing in the living room until she moves into a nursing home next week. 

What did we do this weekend?  On Sunday, we ate Noodles & Company and then we headed to AMC Security Square 8 to watch Breaking Dawn.  I'm pretty sure I got on Rick's nerves the whole weekend.  I will say that I was quite difficult and a total bitch.  Rick still loves me nonetheless and he doesn't look at me any different. 

Now it's just another Manic Monday, wish it were Sunday.

Charles "New York" Tyrone Johnson

These past few days have been pretty interesting.  For starters I stayed at Ramada Limited Hotel both Tuesday and Wednesday night thanks to Carlos and Lewis, close friends of Charles "New York" Johnson.  I will say that it was a pretty nice getaway from the shelter.  Charles and I had our own room and Lewis treated us to a nice dinner at Applebee's on Wednesday.  How nice, right?

Also, my doctor's office has been trying to get in touch with me ever since Tuesday.  I'm guessing that's when my lab results came in and I'm quite sure it is none too pleasing.  I'm scared now.  We all know the results.  Update coming soon.

Thanksgiving day was spent at the HRC.  It was just another typical day in the neighborhood.

I went home Friday morning to see my grandmother Alice and she's looking good.  I haven't seen her since this time last year.  I plan to make another visit early next week.

And finally today I'm planning on sleeping over Rick's house.  We plan to meet up late this afternoon.  He's a little upset with me because I wouldn't spend this morning with him.  I told him, "I love you," last night and he said, "Okay."  I don't get why he wants to meet up so early anyway.  There's nothing to do.  Plus, if he spent his mornings off resting rather than at his friend's house, then maybe his ass wouldn't be a dead log by late afternoon-evening.  He's always complaining about how tired he is yet he doesn't sleep in.  I don't get it.

Body lotion is definitely one of those products where you really get what you pay for.  The more expensive the body lotion, usually the better the product.  Back when I was ballin', I used to prefer Jergen's Skin Smoothing Cellular Renewal Moisturizer or Olay's Quench Daily Lotion Plus Shimmer.  But now I have been using a cheaper alternative--Equate's Cocoa Butter Conditioning Body Lotion.  It's not the best but it gets the job done.  In other words, expect to reapply.  And the best part is that you get a full 10 ounces for about a dollar and a half.  If that's not being a frugalisto, I don't know what is.

how was keith's DOCTOR'S APPOINTMENT?

On Thursday, November 17, 2011 I actually went to go see my doctor.  I haven't seen a doctor since August of 2008.  I had scheduled a physical however I had other health concerns I wished to address, one of which being my herpes outbreak.  It looks like I do in fact have herpes and I have been suffering from an outbreak of open sores around my anus and scrotum for almost two weeks now.  Dr. Jocelyn Hines prescribed Acyclovir as well as Lidocaine Viscous to numb the pain.  If my herpes outbreak doesn't clear up in about two weeks, the doctor says that we may need to discuss options for continued use of an antiviral medication.  In addition, my doctor also took three vials of blood as well as a urine sample for a full STI screening.  I get my results in two weeks.  I already know the results are not going to be good.  I'm not going to sweat it though.  It's about time that I know the truth.  I've been hiding for way to long.  My health is what's most important not my ego.

On Friday, November 18, 2011 I went home much like I do every week and get this!  My mother says that she's planning on getting a foster child.  So she says that I need to find a place to store my things because once the child comes, I will no longer be allowed to come over.  I mean, that is fine by me however Glenda does not need to be fostering any sort of human being.  In fact, she needs major counseling by a psychiatrist before she even thinks about taking on another child.  I feel for that child.  Hopefully, she doesn't make his life a living hell.  To be honest, I don't see it working out.  My mother is the most evil, vindictive, revengeful, selfish, and craziest person on this earth.  What the fuck is she thinking?

Also my grandmother is coming into town from Florida.  She came on Friday afternoon and she's leaving on December 5th.  I have yet to see her.  I plan on seeing her next Friday.

Make Up For Ever High Definition Primer and I go way back--way back to the fall of 2008, the year I first started wearing makeup.  In fact, it was the first primer I had ever used and has been my favorite primer ever since. 

Back when I was a rookie at applying makeup, I would use a cream stick foundation that I wouldn't set with powder and I found that it easily transfered and didn't seem to last all day.  One day after watching a demonstration of HD products by Make Up Forever on the Home Shopping Network, I decided to give this product a try and guess what?  I found that my makeup no longer transfered and no longer faded.  My makeup would look flawless all day long.  It's been a staple in my Makeup Bag ever since.

I will admit.  It is extremely hard to figure me out.  Many have tried and many have failed.  The thing is that I am not personable at all.  People just don't know how to take me sometimes and I can come off almost arrogant with a little bit of a superficial attitude.  I don't know why.  I think I get it from my mother.  I realize that I'm complicated and I 've grown to accept that that's the way people perceive me.

Now on to the topic of boys, I will also admit that I love to play games.  I don't use and abuse 'em but it's hard to grab my attention.  I try to play very hard to get.  Again, I don't know why I play games.  Well maybe I do.  I think it might have to do with my insecurities and I make myself very reserved as to not get used or hurt.  The way I look at it is that if a guy is willing to put up with me and my games then maybe, just maybe he's worthy of my affection.  I don't want to sound like I'm every guy's prize, but I just have to know without a doubt that a guy is really into me and willing to build a healthy relationship.  There's too many playas out here and I am no one's free-booty.  You heard me?  I used to charge for my milkshake, not anymore.

why is keith CURSING RICK OUT?

Because once again, he canceled on me.  As you remember, we were supposed to be in New York City at this very moment.  Unfortunately, he has to work.  I was so pissed off last night after I called him.  You think he would have at least called me and let me know that he had to work.  Get this!  He told me only after I called him.  What a jackass?  It's okay though.  I told him that we weren't going on anymore trips.  He says he doesn't care.  He just wants to spend time with me but how can he spend time with me when he's either at work or over his friend's house. 

I would have to say that our conversation over the phone last night was pretty interesting.  I was yelling and cursing Rick out on the phone while on top bunk 151.  Everyone heard me.  I called Rick a dumbass twice if I'm not mistaken and Rick even hung up on me twice.  One of those times was right after he raved about how he pays for all the trips and the only thing I did was do a little research on the internet. 

Today I'm still a little mad at Rick not because he has to work but because he failed to inform me in a timely manner.  Again, I don't feel like he thinks my time is valuable.  And I'm not the one to be waiting up on no man.  Period.  I would have to say that our relationship is in total shambles.  There's a lot that we're not telling each other.  He can feel it and so can I.  Is there a future for Rick and I?  I honestly don't know at this point.  I'm just not happy anymore.

You may not know this but my favorite restaurant in the world is T.G.I. Friday's.  Unfortunately I haven't been to the restaurant in quite some time due to my lack of money, transportation, and friends.  My favorite items on the menu are hands down the Sesame Jack Chicken Strips and the Brownie Obsession.  I get an orgasm just thinking about them.  Anyways, a few months ago while shopping at the Walmart Supercenter on Washington Blvd, I decided to give the Anytime Sliders a try and I have to say that I am thoroughly impressed.  I was a little apprehensive because everyone knows that microwaveable cheeseburgers just don't taste the same as a fresh cheeseburger off the grill however these Cheeseburger Sliders with Sweet & Smoky BBQ sauce beats a McDonald's Double Cheeseburger any day of the week.

And yet another addition to my Halloween Weekend.  I cursed Collins Johnson, or you know him as Rip, out last night for hitting on my friend, Nay.  I told him never to utter a single word to me or even look my way.  Our friendship is officially terminated. 

On to other news. . . the sisterhood has finally broken up.  Nay is shacking up with her new boyfriend and Andrea has moved back in with her sister.  Andrea claims she moved back in with her sister because her mother died however I don't believe her.  You see, Andrea is a dope head so we really don't know what the deal is.  I wish her the best though. 

I have yet to mention a few other friends that I have made over the past few months.  They are Mike, Donte Miller and Charles Tyrone Johnson.  Mike is an interesting fellow.  He actually enjoys being homeless.  Go figure.  Donte Miller has got to be one of the craziest young guys I have ever met.  He'll make up a story about you in an instant.  And Charles, also known as New York, is a total sweetheart.  He has no vision in his right eye and he just got out of jail about three months ago.  So the sisterhood might be broken but at least I have some brothers around.

And before I go I just have to mention that intake at the HRC has gotten ridiculous.  You should see us flocking to the door like a herd of animals right before the intake process begins.  The cold weather is bringing a ton of new faces and there are only 175 beds upstairs.  And no one wants to go to "overflow,"meaning you have to wait outside in the cold for about three hours for a school bus to take you to the old and filthy JHR building.
